  • Get involved at ANZA - this is a great way to make new friends and share experiences. Become a member or volunteer with us.
  • Culture shock is very real and could happen to you. Make sure you learn about the culture you are now living in, it will help you enjoy living in this amazing city.

  • No matter how frustrated you are, remember to smile and be friendly to the locals.

  • Although many Indonesians speak some English, most do not. Take the time to learn some basic words and phrases to help you get by. Learning Indonesian - an excellent free phone app
  • Don't be afraid to ask other expats for advice; it's a good idea to get tips from someone who has been through it all before.
